Your South-East Sicilian adventure begins! Upon arrival at Catania Airport, you'll be transferred to our comfortable 4-star hotel. We'll gather for a welcome aperitif and a trip briefing to get you excited for the week ahead. Dinner tonight is at the hotel, a delightful introduction to Sicilian hospitality.
🍽️ Sunday – Catania: Cooking and City Exploration
After a delicious breakfast, we'll immerse ourselves in Sicilian cuisine with a hands-on cooking class at Taste My Sicily. Learn the secrets of local dishes and savor the results for lunch! In the afternoon, we'll explore the vibrant city of Catania, with its stunning Baroque architecture and lively atmosphere. Dinner will be at a traditional Catanese restaurant.
🏛️ Monday – Syracuse and the Charm of Ortigia
Today, we journey to the historic city of Syracuse. We'll enjoy a flavorful street food lunch before delving into the city's rich past with a visit to the Neapolis Archaeological Park. In the evening, we'll wander through the enchanting island of Ortigia, the heart of Syracuse. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.
🌊 Tuesday – Market Flavors and Coastal Beauty
This morning, we'll experience the hustle and bustle of a local market before participating in a cooking class at Cook in Siracusa, where we'll learn to create authentic Sicilian dishes. The afternoon takes us to the beautiful Vendicari Nature Reserve, a stunning coastal area. We'll enjoy a sunset aperitif followed by dinner at the renowned Il Baglietto restaurant.
🍫 Wednesday – Modica and Ragusa Ibla: Baroque Wonders
We'll start our day in Modica, famous for its unique chocolate. We'll witness a chocolate demonstration at the historic Antica Dolceria Bonajuto. In the afternoon, we'll explore the breathtaking Baroque city of Ragusa Ibla, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dinner will be in a typical Ragusa restaurant.
🎬 Thursday – In the Footsteps of Montalbano
Today, we'll tour the picturesque locations made famous by the Inspector Montalbano TV series. We'll visit Punta Secca, Donnafugata Castle, Sampieri, and Scicli, immersing ourselves in the stunning scenery. Dinner will be at the elegant Eremo della Giubiliana.
🌋 Friday – Etna and Wine Delights
We'll begin with a street food lunch in a charming village on the slopes of Mount Etna. In the afternoon, we'll indulge in the region's renowned wine culture with a wine tasting and dinner at Cantina Cottanera, a celebrated Etna winery.
👋 Saturday – Arrivederci, Sicilia!
After a final breakfast at the hotel, it's time for departure. You'll be transferred to Catania Airport, filled with unforgettable memories of your South-East Sicilian adventure. We hope to see you again soon!
